SnapFyt is an iOS app that finds where to buy any garment in a photo.

Why SnapFyt exists

Anilee is the one her friends text photos to. Someone screenshots an outfit, sends it over, and asks where to find it. She could always name what she was looking at — the cut, the fabric, why it worked. What she couldn't do was find where to buy it. Her camera roll filled with screenshots of things she'd never track down. Hundreds of them.

Reverse image search gave her "similar vibes" — a mood board, not the item. Asking the creator meant waiting for a reply that usually never came, and when it did, it was a link to something sold out. Nothing could do the one thing she needed: look at a photo, understand the actual garment, and say where to buy it.

What she wanted was simple. Circle the one piece she cared about. Get the exact item back, plus cheaper versions of it, in seconds. Not a search engine — an answer.

Who's behind it

Anilee isn't a fashion insider and doesn't pretend to be. She's a mom of two who spent years in work that trained her to notice what other people walk past — first in investigative work, then in pharmaceutical sales. Same skill, different room: read the details, read the person, put it together. Off the clock she's usually on a mountain or in the water — skis, mountain bike, single track, a board of some kind.

She has a great eye, and she likes using it to make other people feel good about how they look. SnapFyt is that instinct built into an app, so it works for everyone — not just the friends who have her number.

Her husband, Shane Foster, builds it. Trained in technology, Shane is the person people bring ideas to after everyone else has said they're impossible — and what he hands back is usually better than what they dared ask for. So when Anilee kept describing the thing she wanted — look at a photo, understand the garment, find it — he made a phone actually do it. She finds the problems worth solving; he makes them disappear.
